I'm sure most of you have seen/read about this already since it's become pretty viral all over Facebook and Twitter, but if you haven't watch this video :
Kony is a terrible terrible man, no need to state that since it is pretty obvious. I couldn't even stand to hear what he's been doing to children and how scared those children must be.
Invisible children has raised so much awareness and I truly thank them for that, what they are doing to make everyone know what is going on has actually flabbergasted me.... one thing I am concerned about is that through all this awareness they are managing to make quite a bit of money, over the 8 years they have raised over 8 million dollars, but how much has actually been going to the children of Africa?
Common now, money goes straight to people's heads, we can't deny that fact.
But like I said, the main thing here, the one thing that truly matters is that awareness is being raised, and usually I'm all " ya ya awareness but where's the action" but this action will only be taken when awareness has been taken to the next level. Apparantly the Big Guys who can actually take action against Kony need to see that people CARE. so lets care, lets take Kony down!
How sad is that, the government doesn't care, we have to care to make them do something about it, thats disgusting. But anyways raise the awareness, I'm not going to lie, right after I watched the video I was so wound up and wanted to help that I bought the kit. My 30 dollars BETTER be going straight to Africa.
Oh Ya, and im definitely going to be plastering posters and stickers all over Toronto on April 20.
No one knew what Hitler was doing, but we all now know what Kony is doing, so I'm taking a step, this is all I can do, to stop it.
